DESCRIPTION: La Virgen de Candelaria visitará los hogares canarios este 2 de febrero a través de la televisión \nLa Basílica de Candelaria acogerá el 2 de febrero la celebración de la fiesta litúrgica en honor a la Patrona de Canarias. \nA las 8.00 horas y a las 10.00 horas tendrá lugar la eucaristía; y a las 12.00 horas\, presidida por Don Bernardo Álvarez\, Obispo de la Diocesis Nivariense\, y cantada por la Unión Artística El Cabo\, se celebrará también la eucaristía\, pero\, en esta ocasión\, será retransmitida en directo por Mírame Televisión\, un hecho novedoso y que acercará a la Virgen de Candelaria a todos los hogares del archipiélago. Previamente se realizará una recepción de las autoridades en la Basílica a las 11.35 horas. \nMari Brito\, alcaldesa de Candelaria\, comenta “seguimos apelando a la responsabilidad y a cumplir con todas las medidas sociosanitarias\, por ello\, ofrecemos esta alternativa\, en la que podemos vivir junto a la Virgen su día\, a través de la pantalla. Solicitamos a la ciudadanía que siga cumpliendo y siendo responsable ante la situación que seguimos viviendo”. \nEl programa de actos comenzó el domingo 31 de enero con el concierto del ensamble de la Agrupación Musical La Candelaria de Arafo\, que interpretaron el recital ‘Calle Zarzuela 95’; al mismo acudieron la alcaldesa del municipio Mari Brito y el alcalde de Arafo\, Juan Ramón Martín. A este respecto\, la alcaldesa de Candelaria\, Mari Brito\, y el concejal de Cultura\, Manuel González\, trasladan su enhorabuena a la Agrupación Musical La Candelaria de Arafo por su 95º Aniversario y agradecen su implicación y aportación cultural al municipio. \n\nFestividad de San Blas\n La festividad litúrgica de San Blas\, propia del 3 de febrero\, también se celebrará en la Basílica con la misa de las 8.00 y las 18.00 horas\, y a las 17.15 horas el Santo Rosario. \nEl miércoles 3\, a su vez\, comenzarán las III Jornadas Antón Guanche de Historia y Patrimonio Cultural en la Zona Joven de Punta Larga\, en horario de 17.30 a 20.00 horas\, que se prolongarán hasta el viernes día 5. Esta actividad se consolida como un punto de encuentro entre investigadores de la historia\, la genealogía y las tradiciones que se suceden en el municipio. \n
