A paradise not to be missed
Candelaria is just authentic itself. This coastal town is located on the south-eastern slope of Tenerife, just 20 kilometers away from Santa Cruz, the capital. To understand its origins, we have to go back to the Guanches, the ancient inhabitants of Tenerife, and their discovery of an image whose name, later on, was used to identify this town and who became the Patron Saint of the Archipelago.
