Church of John the Baptist: Located in the center of Araya, it houses the images of St Rita de Casia and St John the Baptist, among others. Araya celebrates every year festivities in their honour. Two local trails start from here: ‘SL-TF 294 Los Brezos’, which passes through interesting places such as ‘Fuente de Las Goteras’, ‘Parque Recreativo de Los Brezos’ (recreational park), ‘Lajas de Chafa’ or the Carcho threshing floor; trail ‘SL-TF 296 La Mesa’ goes along the estate ‘Finca de Las Haciendas’ where a great panoramic view of the Güímar Valley and ‘Casa de La Mesa’ can be enjoyed.
Chapel St Isidro Labrador: The Chapel in honour of St. Isidore the Labourer was built in the 70s of the 20th century thanks to the effort and devotion of Araya villagers, who come every last May weekend to celebrate his festivity.
Los Brezos Recreational Park: Next to the chapel of St Isidro and in the pine forest of this municipality, this is a suitable place to enjoy nature. It has wooden tables, fire pits, and a playground.
